About the Company Tait Systems NZ is a newly established company tasked with constructing and operating a Public Safety Network (PSN). Its primary aim is to enhance the communications capabilities of Emergency Services Agencies by delivering modern and secure communication services, including voice and messaging, while also facilitating improved communication among various emergency service agencies. About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant to join the Tait Systems Finance team on a fixed-term basis for two years. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your role will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing business processes to track and analyse financial data related to the delivery of sites and products. Your key responsibilities will include: Preparing financial budgets and forecasting for the project and ensuring delegated authorities are adhered to. Working closely with the build team to establish cash flow forecasting and month end recognition of costs. Ensuring invoicing is completed in a timely manner relative to the project milestones. Establishing and maintaining monthly financial reporting and KPI's, including raising any issues to management and presenting findings and recommendations. Working with the Programme and Project Managers to prepare monthly forecasts and ensure the project and services order backlog is updated accordingly. Managing and implementing processes and tools to provide a viable record of accurate job cost data for cost analysis and forecasting. About You We are keen to hear from individuals with the following skills: 4+ years of project accounting experience. Advanced skills in MS Excel Highly developed analytical skills and commercial awareness. Ability to verify the accuracy of data provided by others to ensure the integrity of reported financials, and to reinforce accountability of others for data submitted In addition to the above, we're looking for a proactive individual, able to take ownership of problems and develop solutions.
