The original owners of the Tuaropaki whenua believed that they could achieve more by working together.
They amalgamated their family lands under an overarching vision to develop the land to provide opportunities for our whanau.
Today, Tuaropaki Trust is an Ahu Whenua Trust under the auspices of Te Ture Whenua Maori.
There are more than 2,700 Owners, a mix of individuals, Whanau Trusts and Kaitiaki Trusts, all descended from the original Owners.
The Trust is a kaitiaki for ancestral taonga and manages complex business interests in the food and energy sectors, with assets valued at around $1 billion.

We are on the lookout for an opportunity go-getter as a Programme Manager – Strategy and Investments to embrace our values of Whakapono (Inner belief in the Tuaropaki vision), Kia U (Commitment, diligence), Kia Manawanui (Courage, adaptability, strategic foresight and humility).
The Role: Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Investments Officer and as a key member of the Strategy and Investments team, the Programme Manager – Strategy and Investments will be responsible for managing a strategic, operational and cultural programme of work within Strategy and Investment and across the Trust.
Key Responsibilities: Work with the CSIO to develop a programme of work within the Strategy and Investments team.
Work with ELT and governance to develop and implement strategic programmes of work.
Provide analytical, leadership and facilitation support to business units.
Work collaboratively and rotate across teams ensuring our values are fully integrated into everything we do.
Work as an active member of the Strategy and Investment Team, collaboratively and continually improving achievement of team objectives.
Contribute to a positive and supportive work culture through open communication, teamwork, and respect.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating technical information.
Share technical expertise and best practices to enhance team skills and capabilities.
Actively promote the Trust's values and interests.
What You'll Need To Be Successful: A tertiary qualification in a business relevant field e.g.
Commerce, Analytics, HR.
Expertise in leading programme office services.
Proficiency utilising a raft of project management tools, management rhythms and systems.
Proven experience developing and delivering plans and processes that are aligned to organisational priorities, and driving change.
A track record of making quality decisions within your area of responsibility.
A proven ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, navigate issues and solve problems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and leverage relationships and partner with colleagues and others across the industry to achieve shared outcomes.
