Our client is in search of a Programme Manager to spearhead a substantial transformation within the healthcare system. The successful candidate will be part of a team that cherishes collaboration, dedication, and empathy, working towards a shared ethos and culture. Situated in the dynamic city of Auckland with remote working options. Initial 7-month FTC.
What you'll do:
As a Programme Manager you will play a crucial role in leading a transformative programme within the healthcare sector. You will be responsible for overseeing the programme's work to comply with the Holidays Act, managing its budget and scope, ensuring all stream leads are delivering according to plan, and maintaining clear communication with various stakeholders. Your ability to facilitate effective decision-making through workshops and stakeholder input will be crucial. You will also be tasked with providing regular reports to national PMO and regional executives, managing programme risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
· Provide leadership excellence & oversee the programme of work
· Formulate and manage the comprehensive budget and scope of the programme
· Ensure all stream leads are operating according to plan and delivering as per schedule
· Manage stakeholders to ensure transparent and clear communication
· Facilitate effective decision making by organising workshops and seeking input from stakeholders
· Ensure projects are adequately resourced through continuous monitoring
· Provide necessary reports to the national PMO and regional executives as agreed
· Ensure that project status reports are presented to the Steering Committee and District Exec teams as required
· Engage with wider group of national Districts' Programme Managers and other national groups in relation to compliance
· Ensure that programme risks are actively managed
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Programme Manager position brings a wealth of skills and experience. Your background includes extensive experience in managing large, complex projects, leading teams, and working with third parties to deliver projects. You possess formal project management qualifications and have a proven track record in stakeholder management, including dealing with unions. Your experience managing the finances of large projects worth millions will be invaluable in this role.
· Programme Management experience of large and complex projects
· Experience working within the Health Sector is essential
· Proven experience working on getting a payroll system to be compliant with the Holidays Act
· Payroll remediation experience is highly desirable
· Experience managing the finances of a large project worth millions
· Change and comms management would be beneficial
· Formal project management qualifications
