Programme Manager - Eastern Bay O&G Service at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty, Bay of PlentyBased at Whakatane HospitalFixed term Full-time for 12 monthsSubsidised onsite hospital gym memberships + Staff carparking + Discounted GoodsThe Health System in Aotearoa is entering a period of transformation as we implement the Pae Ora/Healthy Futures vision of a reformed system where people live longer in good health, have improved quality of life, and there is equity between all groups.
The primary purpose of the role is to support and manage the Eastern Bay Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) Service Contingency and Rebuild Plan.
The key priorities and expected outcomes that the Programme Manager will support include the following services:
High quality maternity careSafe and timely patient/hapu mama transfers to Tauranga hospitalHigh quality Gynaecology care – timely and safeCare and support to hapou mam/whanau/patients during the contingency periodCare and support to staff during the contingency periodTransparent two way communication with staff, stakeholders and communityReporting to the Group Director Operations Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi, the Programme Manager will work alongside Hospital and Specialist Services O&G leadership team, business leaders, Director of Midwifery, midwives both community and hospital based, Hato Hone St Johns and wider stakeholders to provide leadership, advice and guidance.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven leadership and experience in successful programme delivery and change management within Health NZ Te Whatu OraTraining in Quality Improvement methodologyA sound knowledge of hospital and primary care operating environmentsExperience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in actionValues and behaviours consistent with Health NZ Te Whatu Ora valuesA strong drive to deliver positive outcomes to an integral part of the Eastern Bay of Plenty community and have the stamina required for the roleLocal to Bay of PlentyExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settingsHow to Apply To view the position description and/or apply for the role please click "apply now."
