Position Purpose:
The Programme Lead Mental Health is responsible for supporting the Brief intervention, Family mental health, Improving mental health of offenders and Suicide prevention/ Postvention services across the Southern district. The Program Lead will support the team leaders of each service to ensure day to day management and leadership to the service including related planning, coordination, implementation, support, and evaluation is completed to a high standard.
Working in partnership with the Clinical Services Manager – Mental Health and Wellbeing , NGO partners, clinical and other staff they will contribute to strategic and operational management in a way that is consistent with the organization's vision and values.
The Program Lead is responsible for service delivery processes, activity monitoring, human resource management, quality and risk management, credentialing and audit for all disciplines, certification and accreditation, clinical pathway development and other service improvements in services in their portfolio.
Professional Experience – Ka tautohito
Holds a current Annual Practicing Certificate for a relevant HPCCA professions (or equivalent)
Experience in the field of mental health and/or addictions
Experience in managing high performing teams
Proven ability in a senior leadership capacity to successfully manage relationships with diverse range of people.
Demonstrated and proven ability to lead teams in a clinical environment and through a period of change and growth
Knowledge of mental health services, health and disability sector, general practice capabilities and NGO networks.
Experience in managing contracts, budgets and staff.
Extensive experience in and knowledge of clinical quality, safety and best practice.
Awareness and understanding of the implications of the Treaty of Waitangi to WellSouth as a public health organization
