The construction of the Pakuratahi Lakes is a key component of our strategy for achieving a sustainable balance between the supply and demand for drinking water for the Wellington metropolitan area.As the Programme Director for the development of Pakuratahi Lakes, you will be responsible for establishing a team of high-performance professionals committed to the strategic outcome for the region, and leading that team across all aspects of project and workstream planning, consenting, costing, and concept design. You will partner with experts within New Zealand and further abroad to identify best solutions and develop commercial relationships. Importantly, you will need to ensure strong governance and reporting is in place, working collaboratively with our owner councils and community members.About youThis work programme is essential for our client councils to make long-term infrastructure decisions.To be successful you will have:Advanced stakeholder engagement skills, including a history of lobbying and building detailed business cases for governance committees and councils to achieve desired fundingFostered relationships and worked collaboratively with Iwi to apply te ao Maori and holistic approaches to large scale programmesExperience developing and implementing frameworks and programme modelsPrevious experience establishing and directing work programmes with multiple civil workstreamsCommercial procurement and civil relationship management experienceLeadership experience including developing team structure, culture, and scope/size positional requirementsA relevant Civil/Engineering Degree and qualifications within Project Management disciplinesAt Wellington Water, our purpose extends beyond delivering great water services for the region; we foster a thriving community, support a diverse workforce, and offer supportive development opportunities.
