Reporting to the Site Production Manager, the purpose of this position is to ensure production of products meet the required specifications, quality, and timeframes to enable the business to achieve continued growth and profitability. This will be a full-time permanent position on our nightshift in our Gourmet Foods plant. We are looking for a leader with strong motivation and good people skills to engage and inspire a positive work culture for our team. The salary range for this position will be between $80,000 - $85,000.Duties and responsibilities will include:Providing health and safety leadership to staffMeeting targets for production to plan, quality, yields and costsDaily and weekly yield reporting and ensuring corrective actions for variancesDaily reporting on labour utilisationUpdating the time and attendance system daily, weekly reporting to payrollReporting and monitoring repairs and maintenance of equipmentEnsuring compliance with customer, food safety and other regulatory requirementsScheduling production on a weekly and daily basis to ensure the operational plan is metDeveloping and fostering teamwork and a positive cultureContinually identify areas for continuous improvementComplete monthly operational reportsEnsuring the effective cleaning of production facilitiesSkills and experience we are looking for:FMCG and food manufacturing/processing experienceA good understanding of food safety and compliance requirementsIdeally, five years' experience in a similar positionUnderstanding of health and safety requirements and best practiceProblem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesDemonstrated leadership and the ability to manage a team through changeWe are committed to supporting and developing our people and we offer a competitive remuneration package.
