We're looking for a talented Operator to help us keep the good energy flowing.
In this interesting and varied role, you will work as part of our central control room team in Bell Block.
You will have the capability to safely operate and control Clarus assets, including the Gas Transmission System, Ahuroa Gas Storage Facility, and possible future electricity generation/distribution assets on a shift rotation.
We are actively enhancing our expertise in Electricity Distribution and Generation areas now, as part of building our Control Room team ready for our future.
This role oversees daily operations of assets ensuring compliance with operating codes and contracts, approves field activities, and validates data for internal and external use.
Qualifications He aha tau e kawe mai (What you will bring) Along with 5+ years of operational experience (ideally, energy / utilities) and your solid knowledge of energy industry codes of practices, it would be great if you also had: Qualification in any of the following - Electricity Network Controllers; or Electricity Generation.
Control Room Operations in gas networks or similar; or NZQA Standards/Industry Proficient in planning and sequencing work, coordinating and overseeing multiple activities, and effectively prioritizing competing tasks.
Experience of evaluating concurrent operations.
Permit to Work Systems – experience as Permit Holder and Permit Issuer.
Experience with Emergency Response, preferably within a CIMS framework.
You'll also be able and willing to carry out self-learning by making use of various documentation, other team members, and training programs.
