This role prioritizes safety, quality, and efficiency while fostering a high-performing and collaborative workplace.Location:Port Robinson, ONRESPONSIBILITIES:Lead daily operations with a primary focus on safety, quality, on-time delivery and production requirements.Provide clear and professional leadership, offering constructive feedback and guidance to Production Associates.Identify process improvement opportunities and support problem solving initiatives within the manufacturing process.Champion the implementation and adherence to 5S methodology to maintain a clean and organized workspace.Develop and implement best practices to enhance departmental activities and overall efficiency.Enforce company policies and procedures, including necessary disciplinary actions when required.Establish and maintain a comprehensive training program covering all aspects of production for employees.Ensure product quality through Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other problem solving and corrective action methods.Meet customer delivery requirements, maintain appropriate inventory levels, and adhere to budgetary guidelines.Assist with maintenance in document control and purchasing requirements where required.Ensure compliance with the Collective Agreement, particularly in the areas of discipline, job posting, seniority, and overtime distribution.Conduct monthly health and safety talks to reinforce a culture of safety awareness and compliance.Oversee health and safety protocols, ensuring adherence to regulations, performing regular safety inspections, and addressing potential hazards promptly.Participate in the recruitment process, including candidate evaluation and selection.Fulfill any additional duties assigned by senior management.REQUIREMENTS:Previous experience in Automotive/Defence/OEM production facility.In-depth knowledge of Heat Treat and Heat Treat Equipment.Excellent communication skills for effective team coordination and information.Strong problem solving abilities to address production challenges promptly and efficiently.Highly motivated and the ability to inspire and train team members effectively.Familiarity with Labour Relations and working within the framework of a Collective Agreement.Proficiency in understanding and implementing the Occupational Health Act and its Regulations.Holds a valid First-Aid/CPR Certificate.WHY JOIN US!Defined Contribution Pension Plan.Annual Bonus Program.Competitive wages.Job Security (long standing and growing company).On The Job Training.Employee Referral Program.Social Events/Activities.Years of Service Program.Type: Full TimeWe thank all applicants for submitting their resumes; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.As IMT Group is a supplier of Canadian government-designated controlled goods, the successful applicant must be willing to consent to and provide a security check which may include a criminal background check.IMT is strongly committed to diversity and welcomes all applications.
