We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager , based at our Tuakau primary processing site. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of primary processing, which includes live birds arriving onsite right through to sending the final product of the highest quality and standard to our secondary site. Reporting to the Site Manager - Primary, the Production Manager will work closely with the Maintenance, Quality and Logistics teams to ensure seamless processing and the prioritization of animal welfare and site hygiene. Duties and Responsibilities Lead and manage production employees to ensure daily targets are met Advise appropriate teams of any issues, working collaboratively to find a timely solution and to minimise plant downtime. Prioritisation of health and safety of our people. Have a proactive approach when it comes to identifying issues and supporting new initiatives across the plant Ensure compliance with legislative regulations, health & safety, Food Safety and Quality requirements, and the companies best practice policies and procedures Build a strong rapport with both internal and external key stakeholders Skills and Experience Minimum 5 years supervisory experience Experience in FMCG, and experience with poultry processing highly regarded Excellent verbal and written communication skills As this is a manufacturing operation, flexibility in the hours of work is essential A positive and future focussed attitude is an absolute must Ability to "think on your feet" with a can-do attitude Demonstrated problem solving skills Does that sound like you?
