Starboard's mission is to assist our customers in safeguarding their national waters and the global ocean. We achieve this by providing exceptional analytical capabilities and insights to clients worldwide who depend on reliable, real-time maritime information.

Our team is developing innovative and user-friendly maritime domain awareness software that our customers utilise daily to address challenges such as environmental and resource protection, climate security, combating transnational crime, and monitoring maritime assets and infrastructure.

This Role
The Senior Product Marketer (Government Sector) will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that position our SaaS solutions to meet the needs of Government-related businesses by creating compelling product narratives and driving demand through targeted marketing campaigns.

You will be responsible for devising go-to-market strategy for the public sector, providing messaging and positioning strategies, content development and campaign management, and regular customer insight reporting.

Building and maintaining relationships with key industry influencers, partners, and stakeholders are a key part of this role, as is representing Starboard at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events.

Skills, Competencies and Experience Required
In-depth knowledge of B2B SaaS markets, with a track record of creating and implementing go-to-market strategies for government clients.
Exceptional ability to convert technical features into clear, customer-focused value propositions that appeal to public sector audiences.
Proven experience in developing and managing marketing campaigns that drive demand and bolster sales efforts.
Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, capable of creating engaging messaging and content that boosts engagement and sales.
Analytical mindset, skilled in gathering and interpreting market data, customer insights, and competitive intelligence.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
A Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field is required, and experience in a startup or scaleup environment is desirable.
