Te Turanga – The opportunity

An opportunity to work with New Zealand's award-winning public broadcaster. RNZ aims to strengthen Aotearoa and the Pacific through informative, challenging and entertaining content.

Te Mahi – About the job

Contribute to the production of RNZ National's live radio programming ranging from Nine to Noon, Afternoons, The Panel & Nights, through to Saturday and Sunday morning shows.

Work across all these production teams helping create a rich mix of entertainment, general interest "magazine", and news/current affairs content.

Pitch story/interview ideas, research background for presenters, provide accurate and interesting on-air introductions and question lines

provide leave back-up for all shows

Curate and produce holiday programming

Deliver the stories and content for on-line, making appropriate use of images, video, graphics, data and audio.

Use social media to engage audiences, distribute and promote our story telling.

Organise the facilities and services necessary for live and pre-recorded interviews.

Ou Pukenga - About You

The successful candidate will:

Have some live broadcasting production and presentation experience in talk/current affairs formats

Preferably have relevant journalism qualifications/experience

Be online and social media savvy
