As a group, HEG can trace our roots back over 70 years, generate annual revenue in excess of NZ$450 million, directly employ over 1400 employees, and own over NZ$350 million of predominantly service critical assets.Each of the businesses has established strong reputations as market leaders in their respective specialist sectors and markets; and collectively share a vision to be 'New Zealand's most trusted multi-discipline infrastructure services provider'.We are now looking for a Procurement Manager who will report to the Chief Information Officer / Group Procurement, and will be responsible for but not limited to:Providing strategic thinking, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of procurement needs.Developing and implementing procurement strategies.Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.Negotiating contracts and pricing agreements to secure the best terms and conditions.Leading and mentoring the Procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.Working closely with internal stakeholders, to align procurement activities with business needs.Maintain a culture that continually reviews services, business processes, systems, and market information to ensure continuous improvement and best practice principles are adopted.About you:To be successful in this role you will have strong procurement experience ideally within the trades industry (mechanical, plumbing or electrical). You will be a strong negotiator with contract management skills and an excellent analytical leader with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
