During our 18-month programme in Procurement, you will work on building your craft within your home team and under the guidance of a mentor, offering both stability and support.

You will also have the opportunity to work across the business, gaining new skills and delivering real projects during three 6-month rotations.
Once the 18-month programme concludes, you will be seamlessly transitioned into a permanent position within AT, from one of your rotations, continuing your journey in the AT whanau.

Te Whiwhinga mahi - The Graduate Procurement role will include:

Actively engaging in regular meetings with the business area of responsibility.
Meeting with suppliers to support the business with effective contract and relationship management.
Engaging with the business to discuss and agree on procurement strategies and plans.
Developing tender documentation and leading the business through the sourcing process to a successful conclusion of a contract.
Coordinating the contract management and review process and ensuring that it is documented.
Reviewing contract variation assessments and agreements.
Maintaining and updating the required procurement records while engaging with Procurement Support.
Working collaboratively with the Procurement Excellence team to deliver continuous improvement of Procurement Plan, Sourcing, and Supplier & Contract Management processes, methodologies, and systems.
Providing procurement direction and mentoring/coaching for internal and external stakeholders.
Working closely with Council Group and/or NZTA procurement colleagues on joint initiatives.

A minimum of a bachelor's degree obtained from either University or Polytechnic.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
A passion for agile ways of working, problem-solving, and innovative solutions.
