As a seafood process worker at their Kaikoura Depot, your primary focus is to undertake seafood export processing activities with utmost respect and care for their high-value product, lobster. Selected candidate will handle, oversee, and deliver lobster to their processing plant in Christchurch, ensuring compliance with quality specifications, standard operating procedures, and health and safety standards. Ensure day-to-day compliance with MPI Plant and RMP Food Safety standards, Fisheries Legislation, and Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. Embrace cultural opportunities and actively participate in activities to deepen knowledge of Ngai Tahutanga and te reo Maori. Collaborate with the team to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. Eligibility Criteria for Process Worker: Knowledge of Ministry of Primary Industries and Health and Safety regulations advantageous. Ability to follow instructions with attention to detail. Proven ability to work in a team, with a disciplined work ethic. Capable of handling equipment or product up to 20kg during shifts. Experience with live Crayfish product and seafood processing systems advantageous. Relevant qualifications not required if significant experience is demonstrated. Hourly rate: $28 – $30 per hour.
