Quality People Limited – Gisborne, North Island Full time, Permanent Opportunity for multiple candidates based at our Gisborne manufacturing facility. As a member of a production team, you will be responsible for producing product, together with maintaining and improving plant equipment/processes to deliver continued increases to production KPIs. You will be interacting with plant equipment utilising "State of The Art" Control systems, Sensing, Vision, and Robotics technology. You will be using your skills and experience to help define and implement solutions involving engineering practices and operations management philosophies. All roles are very "hands on", working in a cohesive team environment where all individuals are working together to meet a common goal, seeking to improve performance while being part of the production process. Senior positions are also available. In these senior positions you will bring significant relevant skills and experience to the table and will be expected to lead by example and help foster a productive, collaborative and rewarding work environment. Positions are permanent and full time with a minimum guaranteed average hours are 42 per week with some opportunities for overtime. Be part of a sustainable, world first venture using state of the art machinery. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Producing product that meets or exceeds the specification and quality requirements. Monitoring and adjusting production parameters to support key performance indicators (KPIs). Analysis of machine centre performance and operation to support the development of improvement initiatives relating to the machine centres and their maintenance. Analysis of CAD drawings and specifications to determine position of machines, components and assemblies. General installation of machines and equipment on the manufacturing site. Fitting and assembling components and reticulating services to machines and equipment. Diagnosing faults, and performing corrective and preventative maintenance of automated machines with minimal impact to production and improving ongoing reliability. Industrial electrical and/or mechanical related tasks to deliver improvements to machine centres and the manufacturing process. Remaining compliant with the quality management process and striving to exceed all product quality criteria. Remaining safe in your workplace and ensuring compliance to the health and safety plan and associated policies and procedures. Loading and/or issuing of raw materials to the production process. Preparing and performing QA testing requirements required within the advanced manufacturing process. Processing 'rejected' and 'on hold' product which includes aspects like QA assessments, cutting down product and partial pack organisation. Packing and preparing finished goods ready for shipment. Using business systems to record root cause analysis, maintenance, and production data to help deliver business benefits. Keeping the site clean and organised. Perform any other duties reasonably required from time to time to support plant operations. Skills and Experience Process Technicians will ideally hold a relevant Mechanical or Electrical related Trade Certificate and/or Engineering Diploma or Degree. At least 3 years' experience in industrial manufacturing environments. Hands on experience in maintenance and repair. Critical Thinking, Analytical and Problem-solving skills. Computer and Technology literacy. Note: At our discretion relevant industry experience can be considered in lieu of or in combination with qualification. These roles would suit candidates with a work history (but not limited to) of a fitter, electrician, millwright, mechanical engineer, production engineer, process engineer, industrial engineer, maintenance engineer, production technician, production supervisor - particularly if you have an interest in mechatronics and automation.
