Channel Infrastructure - New Zealand's leading fuel infrastructure company is the essential connection in New Zealand's energy network. We receive, store, test, and distribute transport fuels safely, reliably, and efficiently to the Northland and Auckland markets. At our Marsden Point site, we store up to 280 million litres of fuel which is delivered via our 170 kilometre pipeline directly to Auckland. Currently we are recruiting for a Process Safety Graduate to join our talented Environment, Health & Safety Team. We're looking for people who are proactive, resourceful and highly motivated. Based at our Marsden Point site, this multi-disciplinary role predominantly focused on process safety but is required to assist with other aspects of the business operations including hazardous substance management and related health and safety and environmental matters.. Accountabilities include (but are not limited to): Assisting and participating in promoting process safety within the business.Assisting the EHS manager to work throughout the business to advise on and improve process safety systems within the business.Assisting with review and update of process safety documentation and procedures including the Safety Case.Assisting with Hazardous substance management and compliance within the business.Participation in HAZOPS and other process safety assessments.This role requires a graduate tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering or related sciences, or equivalent combination of qualifications and 1-3 years experience in relevant discipline. Proven experience taking individual responsibility for Health, Safety and the Environment and intervening to protect others and knowledge of Process Safety and requirements within Hazardous Substances.
