We Go Beyond for A Safer World
Te Turanga - The Role
We're offering an exciting opportunity to join our Manufacturing Engineering team. This role works to develop and continuously improve the "lean" processes we use at Tait which keep our assembly lines working smoothly and efficiently with short lead times. This is vital to developing and manufacturing the high-tech products we do, in a complex and competitive industry.
The duties of the role will include:

Cover the full life cycle of products from requirements gathering to analysis, design, development, and deployment of software to improve our assembly processes and automated control systems.
Troubleshoot issues and help keep our factory running.
Provide tools and information to assure the quality of our processes.
Engage in problem solving, process enhancement and supporting a lean culture dedicated to continuous improvement.

O pukenga - About You
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in the entire software life cycle and be able to translate user needs into effective applications using analysis, problem solving and effective communication. You will be able to apply 'big picture' thinking to complex systems, finding long term solutions to solve problems and bridge the gap between systems, tools and approaches. As well as:

The ability to develop, maintain and improve applications within both .NET, VB framework and Asp.net.
Experience in working with SQL and relational databases.
Have a Software Engineering background.
Experience with web development technologies, Microsoft Excel/VBA and other development tools is preferred.
Be familiar with Git.lab and Rest APIs.

Nga painga - what's in it for you?
We are an employer that is committed to making a difference for families and communities and supporting people to build rewarding careers. We achieve this through employing people who connect with our Values (Commitment to listen. Courage to Act and Integrity to Deliver) that underpin our way of working together. We are committed to investing in our people, developing both individuals and teams to support a high-performance culture.
We prioritise your wellbeing through health insurance, annual flu vaccinations and extra sick leave in your first year. We provide a comfortable work environment through modern office facilities with free onsite parking, gym, and café. We recognise your commitment through long service benefits. We balance work with fun through our active social club!
