St Michael's Catholic School is a vibrant, inclusive, faith-based school for students in Y0 to 6, adjacent to St Michaels' Church, Remuera. Our highly respected principal is leaving us after eight years of dedicated and community focused leadership. We are seeking a special candidate to embrace our faith-based community to balance tradition with innovation and to provide a clear vision for the future.

Balance faith-centred leadership with innovation, inclusion, and organisational excellence
Develop a strong faith-based relationship between the Parish, school community and families
Show a commitment to high academic standards with a focus on core literacy and numeracy
Be inspirational, well organised and able to lead confidently and effectively
Build connections and ensures our diverse students and families feel part of our school community
Ensure effective teaching of our curriculum that provides multiple opportunities to develop the skills and talents of our students
Be an effective communicator and inspirational leader who builds trust and creates clear expectations of students and staff
Demonstrate a commitment to Te Ao Maori and models culturally responsive practice
Demonstrate experience in meeting legislative requirements in the areas of finance, personnel, property and health and safety.
Condition of appointment: Our new principal will have a willingness and ability to take part in the religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school. The appointee will be required to accept and recognise the responsibility to maintain and preserve the special character of the school.
