We seek an outstanding strategic thinker who will work on some of the most critical issues that will shape Auckland's future including: What should Auckland's future transport network look like? How can transport support Auckland's prosperity? How should transport shape and respond to Auckland's growth? How can we encourage more Aucklanders to use public transport and active modes? How can we significantly reduce transport emissions while improving safety and reducing congestion? How can we get more out of the existing transport network? How can we improve access and transport equity for all Aucklanders? Present strategic, compelling and well evidenced advice to elected members and senior managers on all these issues and more. Form productive relationships with colleagues from within the Transport Strategy Team, other parts of council, Auckland Transport, central government, Maori and other stakeholders.
