St Joseph's Catholic School (Dargaville) Northland
Saint Joseph's Catholic School is a state integrated Catholic school for Y1-8 students serving a multicultural roll, situated in Dargaville, a thriving semi-rural township in Northland.
We are fortunate to have a team of skilled and enthusiastic staff and a highly supportive School Board.
We are seeking an exceptional leader who is:
Passionate about our Catholic values, with a deep commitment to our Catholic faith and special character
An excellent communicator, who is approachable and places the needs of our Tamariki and wider community at the heart of all decisions
Culturally responsive and able to engage with all the diverse ethnicities represented within our students
Someone who embraces Tikanga, Te Ao Maori, Te Reo Maori and whanaungatanga in their everyday practices
The successful candidate will:
Bring a strong understanding of current curriculum and pedagogical knowledge
Build and strengthen collaborative partnerships with the Parish and community
Be visible, approachable and fully engaged with our Tamariki, whanau and community
Be active in displaying our school's core values
Inspire and nurture the growth of others, motivating them to reach their full potential
Demonstrate outstanding leadership skills, along with a passion for teaching and learning
Be dedicated to delivering high-quality education based in our special Catholic character, guiding our Tamariki towards an encounter with Christ.
A willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school shall be a condition of appointment.
