Principal Policy Advisor

Our central government client is looking for an experienced Principal Policy Advisor to join their social policy team. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping and advising on key policies that impact our communities. You will work across complex policy issues, lead projects, and provide strategic guidance to ensure the development of effective, evidence-based policies.This is a full-time, permanent position based in Wellington. Flexible working 3 days in the Office, 2 days WFH.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development, analysis, and review of high-impact policies and programs.Provide expert advice and recommendations to senior management and government officials on complex policy issues.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of policy objectives.Conduct in-depth research, analysis, and evaluation to inform policy decisions.Monitor and respond to changes in legislation, regulations, and emerging trends.Provide advice to the Minister for the Public Service, Crown entities, and boards.Draft clear and concise policy briefings, reports, and recommendations.Mentor and guide junior policy advisors, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous learning.Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex work.If you are interested, please click APPLY or send your CV in Word format to Michelle Thomas at ****** quoting reference #MT06309.
