Waimarama Primary school is situated on a spacious, well-resourced site in the small beachside township of Waimarama. Our school has a strong sense of community through meaningful relationships and developing strong partnerships between home and school. Waimarama School provides quality education for Y1–6 students.

The board is seeking a dynamic and motivated principal who can continue to build on our current strengths as well as take the steps and initiative to shift our school forward into the future. We are looking for a relational leader who is passionate about education.
The suitable applicant will have:-
Fluency in Te Reo Maori or on their learning journey to be fluent in Te Reo Maori (Level 4 at a minimum)
Proven leadership skills with the ability to think strategically and inspire students, staff, and community.
Proven strong curriculum leadership and experience in relational pedagogy and culturally responsive practices.
In-depth NZ Curriculum knowledge
Effective business and financial skills including familiarity with MOE compliance.
The position starts at the beginning of term 2, 2025 or earlier by negotiation. The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position, is set by the Primary Principal's Collective Agreement. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
