Our client has carved their niche, delivering high-performing and scalable test automation frameworks, services, and solutions. With continued customer demand, they are looking for a Principal Consultant to lead and evolve their range of Quality Engineering services offered in Auckland, whilst also working alongside their leadership team to refine their test automation framework and tools for their suite of customers. ABOUT THE ROLE: As their Principal Consultant, your day will be highly varied from supporting the implementation and delivery of our Quality Engineering services, developing test automation solutions, and working alongside other team members to draft proposals, proof of concepts, and reports. You will also be supporting in the leading and coaching a team of Automation Engineers. To summarise this would include: Strategic quality assurance and advisory services covering both quality engineering and test automation strategies. Implementing and assisting in the coding of their wide variety of Test Automation and Quality Engineer services and solutions. Involved in presales activities including conducting customer presentations, scoping, proof of concepts, and assisting with proposals and SOWs. Staying abreast of the evolving landscape of Quality Engineer, Ways of Working, and funnelling this into our customers go to market and tooling. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE? A consultative mindset. You will need to be able to take customers on the journey towards quality engineering and test automation awesomeness and work with them to achieve their goals. Experience leading test automation projects and have examples of this. You don't need to have officially managed people before but will have led successful test automation projects. Excellent listener, able to analyse client requirements and formulate pragmatic solutions. Technically adept and still enjoy an element of being hands-on and staying close to the bleeding edge of quality engineering. Have a teaching mentality, mentoring and supporting less experienced team members with patience and positivity. Problem-solving nature, able to independently investigate and try solutions to problems they may encounter.
