Join us as a Principal Asset Engineer, where you'll lead the development and implementation of regional works programmes, ensuring national service levels and strategic goals are met.
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity As part of our Asset Management Regional team, you will be responsible for leading and facilitating the development and implementation of regional roading works programmes that deliver nationwide service levels and strategic targets.
This critical role bridges the gap between our national planning and regional maintenance and operations teams, driving alignment and excellence in transport asset management across New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop regional works programmes aligned with national strategies.
Guide and support teams in asset management best practices.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to optimise asset performance.
Drive continuous improvement in tactical and asset management planning.
Provide expert advice in emergency event recovery, ensuring whole-of-life asset value.
Ko koe tenei | About you To be successful in this role, you will bring: Proven experience in roading asset management and advanced data analysis.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills to influence and guide stakeholders.
Expertise in asset management planning, lifecycle management, and programme delivery.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and a valid NZ driver's license.
