This includes initiatives like solar panels, electric cars, and revegetation programmes.We are looking for a principal architect to lead and drive architectural excellence for a selection of Watercare's digital domains, creating simple, flexible, secure, and sustainable solutions that align with our business objectives. In this role, you will define and deliver architecture across various capability domains, engaging business stakeholders in defining and realizing their ambitions.You will report to the head of architecture and work closely with digital and business teams to ensure we focus on the right initiatives at the right time. You will also drive process improvement across the design and delivery lifecycle to accelerate our team goals.You will be responsible for:Owning the overall architecture for assigned domain areas, defining current and future states and influencing the roadmap for change. Current focuses include Data & Analytics, Information Management, & Integration.Assuring solutions in your area to balance core principles, strategic alignment, and implementation for optimal results.Developing roadmaps with key stakeholders.Supporting planning for roadmap delivery by providing guidance on sequencing, resourcing, delivery timeframes, and ongoing support needs.Documenting architecture, decisions, rationales, and supporting artefacts to create a sustainable architecture.Ensuring cross-domain alignment through participation in architecture processes and collaboration with peers.Providing technical guidance and leadership to Watercare's solution architects and technical specialists.Driving process improvement and adoption across the architecture team and wider digital team.Sharing technical knowledge to support long-term growth and development of our people.You ideally have the following skills and experiences:Proven success in providing solution architecture expertise for complex projects or large programmes.Experience in developing domain roadmaps and guiding delivery activities.Technical leadership and coaching experience within architecture and the digital team.Experience in working with business leaders to articulate required business outcomes and convert these into technical deliverables.Energy, enthusiasm, and creativity in your practice, challenging the status quo and delighting stakeholders.Excellent communication skills, able to run workshops and drive decision-making across technical and non-technical individuals.Broad experience in the technology industry with various architectural frameworks and styles.A passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning.A self-starter who is well-organised and effectively manages their workload.A team player with a quality focus and values that align with Watercare's.We offer a competitive salary and staff benefits package including:Life and income protection insurance plansGenerous parental leaveEmployee discounts at large retailersDiscounted parking optionsFree on-site gymMe pehea te tono mai | How to ApplyCome and join our team!
