Principal Advisor, Regulatory Stewardship | Wellington Salary midpoint of $140,938, actual salary dependent on your experience At Manatu Hauora – Ministry of Health we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance. We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters.
The Regulatory Stewardship team is responsible for shaping and providing advice on the regulatory settings for the health system in order to improve health outcomes. The team will be leading oversight of the Ministries regulatory stewardship responsibilities aligned with its role in providing for effective regulation of health and care service providers, therapeutic products and services.
Ko ake mahi - What you'll do You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of health system regulation. Collaborating closely with the Chief Regulatory Officer and the Manager of Regulatory Stewardship, you will lead the strategic development and implementation of innovative approaches to regulatory stewardship. You will convene key leaders from across the Ministry and the broader health system to co-design a unified regulatory strategy, setting the direction and principles that will guide future regulatory activities. You will host and support a regulatory community of practice to foster collaboration, identify collective opportunities, and manage risks.
