Principal Advisor, Justice Sector Te Haeata / The Opportunity Do you want to be the change you want to see in Aotearoa New Zealand? This is an exciting role within the Justice Sector team, which supports the Justice Sector Leadership board (JSLB), established to lead the collective efforts of the Justice Sector agencies to drive transformation in the sector. We need Principal Advisors who can make things happen and to lead, develop and support work to deliver meaningful change. We are looking for people who can: Lead components of our priority projects or workstreams. Provide evidence-backed advice, in collaboration with agency colleagues, on what matters for improving justice sector performance including change prioritisation, strategic investment trade-offs, aligning work programmes to deliver intended benefits, and monitoring and reporting on progress. Mentor and coach those around you to help deliver timely high-quality work. Work collaboratively, courageously and with humility to bring others together. Help identify what needs to be done to support agencies to work together to improve sector performance and do what it takes to make that happen. Use your relationship skills to bring people, resources and workstreams together. Play a key role in connecting agencies and sector partners to work together to improve justice sector performance. To be successful in this role you will have: Demonstrated capability to reflect te ao Maori and Treaty of Waitangi frameworks across all aspects of decision making. Specialism in one of the following areas: Change management Strategic communications Strategic finance Strategic governance Policy Evidence and analytics Operational delivery Advanced project management skills and experience in providing professional leadership to significant projects. Experience communicating with a wide range of audiences on complex issues. Strong writing and reporting skills.
