This position will provide strategic advice to support the alignment between the Equity Policy and other strategies and policies across Pharmac that encompass an equity component.
The Principal Advisor Equity will work closely with our Maori Directorate and other roles that encompass an equity focus to create a cohesive approach to Pharmac's Maori, Pacific and disabled health equity strategies and work programmes.
This position will also provide written advice, briefings, presentations and visuals to outline progress against Pharmac's Equity Policy.
They will develop strategic equity advice to assist Directorates and teams to implement the Equity Policy and contribute to wider Pharmac strategy and policy development.
Our ideal candidate would bring: Knowledge of the Aotearoa New Zealand health sector is required including an understanding of health equity concepts An ability to provide strategic thinking, and proven experience in operationalizing strategy within a complex organisation Proven experience in providing strategic thought leadership on issues impacting Maori, Pacific and disability communities Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to represent Pharmac at a senior level in a way that builds trust and enhances our reputation Experience working in a health-related organisation at a Principal level Ko wai koe?
