The Culture and Capability team is part of the Human Resources team within the Organisational Capability and Services | He Pou Aronui branch. He Pou Aronui is dedicated to supporting Te Tari Taiwhenua to succeed by providing corporate services that help business groups and people within DIA to make the best contribution to New Zealand.
We're looking for a driven and experienced Principal Advisor Culture & Capability to join the team. Our Principal Advisors lead work programmes and provide advice that ensures DIA is a high performing organisation and a great place to work.
An opportunity has opened for an experienced Principal Advisor to lead our Talent Development work programme. The programme is at an exciting point, with a new Leadership Framework designed, and leadership development programmes for every level of leadership underway. This is a great opportunity for a driven and highly experienced OD Principal Advisor to get on board and work with HR colleagues, leaders, and the Executive to shape the future of the programmes and to design and embed the reinforcing mechanisms that ensure we make the most of our investment in leadership development.
Outside of Leadership Development, we have several other ambitious work programmes underway that span Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Management, Employee Experience, Organisational Culture, and Capability Development. We work collaboratively as a team, meaning that while your focus will be leading the Talent Development work stream, you'll provide advice and support to other programmes that ensures a focus on Talent is embedded and reinforced in everything we do.
To be successful in the role you will have:
Passion for helping organisations develop exceptional leadersSignificant experience leading programmes and strategies focused on leader and talent developmentExperience in the design, development, and delivery of general OD projects, activities, frameworks and strategiesSignificant experience building and managing complex relationships, particularly with senior and executive leadersExperience applying programme management skills to deliver high-value, high-profile projects and initiativesIn-depth knowledge of Leadership and Talent Development concepts, as well as evidence-based OD methods and techniquesStrong problem-solving, critical thinking, analysis, and communication skillsAn understanding of Te Reo Maori, Tikanga, and Te Ao Maori.We're tackling some meaty strategic issues as part of a supportive, collaborative, and innovative team.
