Principal Adviser, Strategy - 12 Month Fixed Term at Financial Markets Authority, Auckland Help shape the strategic direction and priorities of the FMA.Significant development opportunity - exposure to Board and Senior Leadership.Promote and influence outcome-focused regulation.12 Month Fixed Term.We're embarking on an exciting future, and as our Principal Adviser, Strategy, you'll be at the forefront - making connections and helping to shape our strategic focus and priorities. This is a 12 month fixed termcontract. This role will give you plenty of scope to flex your strategic thinking and influencing skills as you provide thought leadership across the FMA and regulatory system on enterprise strategy and regulatory approach, including supporting the FMA's transition to being an outcomes-focused regulator. You will also support the ongoing development and delivery of FMA's Quarterly Board Reporting, External Risk Framework and Financial Conduct Report.
The key to your success in this role will be your ability to collaborate and work across all enterprise groups, providing trusted advice and counsel to ensure our enterprise activities and work programmes are aligned with our strategic direction and priorities.
An important part of this role will be lending your expertise and experience to support capability in the team.
Who are we looking for? You will have gained expertise in the following areas:
Experience contributing to the design and prioritisation of significant programmes of work impacting the strategic direction of an organisation.Experience in using and developing strategy setting processes, tools, and techniques.Demonstrated experience influencing others and building relationships that have enabled you to collaborate across all levels of an organisation, including presenting to senior leadership.Working understanding or experience of the financial sector, and practice of conduct regulation.A financial servicesbackground or experience from within a regulatory environment is desirable but not essential for us.
