Join us as a full or part-time Primary Prevention Practitioner for the Hikitia! community-led prevention initiative for Te Tauihu.
Are you an experienced practitioner with a passion for creating lasting change? Do you believe in the strength of community-led initiatives to prevent family and sexual violence? This is your opportunity to be part of a dedicated team of kaimahi (workers) and take up a role that directly impacts the safety and well-being of children, families, and communities in our rohe (region) and across Aotearoa New Zealand.
About the Role: As Primary Prevention Practitioner within the Hikitia! community-led prevention initiative, your experience, knowledge, skills, and connections will contribute to collaborative efforts across Te Tauihu to drive effective change, transforming how we prevent and respond to family and sexual violence.

What You Will Bring:
The ability to be relational and inclusive in your work with others.
A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the importance of indigenous leadership in driving social change.
Proven practice experience in the family and/or sexual violence fields.
Ability to draw on a diverse range of evidence and knowledge, including matauranga Maori, in relation to the prevalence, drivers, and impacts of family violence and sexual violence.
An understanding of emerging issues, trends, and the most effective levers and opportunities across the primary prevention system.
Excellent organisational skills, alongside the ability to be flexible and responsive in an environment where innovation and collaboration are key.
An interest in continuous learning and development and willingness to actively contribute to sharing and learning across the Community-led Prevention Partner Initiative network, including participating in workforce development initiatives.
The ability to co-design and deliver participatory internal and external capability-building activities, such as in-person training, presentations, hui, wananga, workshops, and resource development.
Your qualification, registration, and experience as a Social Worker, Psychologist, Counsellor, or allied professional, with proven experience in the family and/or sexual violence sector (2 years+).
