The day to day operations of this General Practice is led by a collaborative Management Team consisting of a Practice Manager, Clinical Nurse Lead and Team Leader Administration.
HCP is the largest general practice currently operating within the Horowhenua District and is also the site for the centralized Afterhours Clinic for weekends and public holidays.
HCP has three general practitioners supported by a team of experienced nurses and admin/reception staff.
HCP offers a wide range of services including those focusing on long term conditions.
The role: As part of the general practice, the Primary Care Practice Assistant will work within their scope of practice and be responsible for patient-centred, culturally appropriate and individual holistic care for patients.
The successful applicant will: Work alongside a dedicated team who are committed to supporting a diverse community with their various health needs Work in a varied role and can learn advanced skills such as minor surgery assistance, ordering treatment supplies, autoclaving, audits, assisting clinical staff with taking patients measurements and vital signs.
Will undertake a range of activities that will provide both clinical and administration support primarily to the HCP nursing team and other members of the team as an when required.
The ideal candidate will: Hold a Level 4 PCPA qualification or prepared to work towards Enjoy working independently as well being a hard-working team player.
Be friendly, approachable, positive and has a 'can do approach'.
Be flexible, adapt to changes easily and consistently encourage a positive team culture.
Have good verbal, electronic, and written skills.
