Aspiring Medical Centre – Queenstown, South Island Aspiring Medical Centre is seeking a Primary Care Assistant- Kaiawhina .

About the role - Korero mo te turanga: We are seeking a vibrant Primary Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team.
The role provides primary care health support to our patients and our team, working under the direction and delegation of our Clinical Nurse Manager and our clinical team.
This is a permanent position for 2-3 days per week.
You will need to have the ability to cover leave of your co-worker as required, this would be by arrangement with the Clinical Nurse Manager.
As part of our valued team, you will be a key player within our clinical support staff and the wider team.
Your role will involve a variety of tasks that support our clinicians, including ECGs, patient observations, and performing blood tests.
Additionally, you will assist with healthcare administration, process and sterilise instruments, manage stock, and ensure the clinic is set up and maintained to the highest standards.
Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help us meet health targets and manage patient recalls effectively.
There will be a mix of direct patient contact along with administration support tasks to be completed each day.
Our practice is a fast-paced environment and being able to multitask is a must.
We will provide training and professional development.
You will have an interest in healthcare or previous healthcare experience.
You will have great interpersonal and effective communication skills that easily build trusting relationships with both patients and staff.
The ability to work with and relate to people from different cultural backgrounds.
Great administration skills to record accurate information.
Previous experience using Medtech database is preferable but not essential.
Ability to multitask to ensure that all tasks are completed on time.
A great team player with a positive attitude who thrives in a busy diverse work environment.
Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Hold a current CPR certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
Competence in phlebotomy would be desirable but not essential.
