Practice Leader - Health and Aging - Central AucklandAre you looking for a senior opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people living with a disability?Would you like to join an effective multi-disciplinary team?Do you have experience in mental health, aging and/or disability services?The Practice Lead will hold a dual role, combining leadership and clinical responsibilities. This includes managing and supporting the clinical team to ensure high-quality service delivery while also maintaining an individual caseload of people. The role requires the ability to balance service development and team leadership duties, such as performance management, mentorship, and operational oversight, with providing direct clinical services to meet people's health needs and maintain professional expertise.The overarching purpose of the role is to embed best practice and improve the health, ageing and wellbeing outcomes of the people supported by Spectrum Care.The Practice Lead Health and Ageing role will assist and support Spectrum Care to achieve the following:Vision: Every New Zealander with a disability deserves a life of choice, freedom and independence.Purpose: To help maximise the potential of the people we support.Behaviours we value: Kindness is catching, listen completely, bounce back and do the right thing.You will work collaboratively with other professionals and act as facilitator to actively support a person to obtain the best possible health care including a focus on mental health outcomes.Reporting to you will be: the Health Advisor, Clinical Healthcare Assistant, and Occupational Therapist.You will have:NZ Nurse's registration with a minimum 5 years post registration experienceDemonstrated experience at a senior level in the last 12 monthsKnowledge and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and implications in nursing practiceKnowledge of current nursing professional development issuesRecent/relevant clinical experience in Disability, Mental Health, and/or the Aged Care SectorsAbility to competently utilise information technologyYour will receive a competitive salary and opportunities for continuing education and career development.
