Time left to apply End Date: December 9, 2024 (10 days left to apply)Job requisition ID: JR-0000009964Role OverviewReporting to the Manager Transport Planning, the purpose of the Practice Lead role is to continue to build and lead a high performing team of transport planning professionals who provide broad, highly skilled, high level quality design and transport planning leadership and capability in the development and implementation of transport system solutions which respond to government priorities and achieve Waka Kotahi transport system goals.Key ResponsibilitiesShowcase your passion for people leadership.Manage a team of transport planning professionals.Continue to build a highly engaged team through coaching, mentoring and leadership.Develop career pathways to grow and retain high quality design and transport capability.Work as part of the Transport Planning Leadership Team to support the growth of the team as a national centre of excellence for transport planning.Support continuous improvement and ongoing capability enhancement.Minimum RequirementsDemonstrated people management experience in leading high performing teams.Proven experience in growing and developing team members.Demonstrated expertise in transport planning or other relevant disciplines.Proven ability to build and maintain highly collaborative internal relationships.The ability to work strategically within a national context.The ability to lead through change and effectively lead your people to implement and embed change programmes.The ability to effectively bring together multiple perspectives.Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.Knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori.Knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.How to ApplyQualified candidates are encouraged to apply with a detailed CV and cover letter.
