To continue this tradition of excellence, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Practice Lead – Development to join our globally focused IoT Connected Ecosystems team. Fisher and Paykel ecosystems connect the virtual and physical worlds by intelligently integrating and automating the whole of home based on real-life scenarios, with remote management and control of appliances via smartphone, access to rich content, services and experiences and connections with other ecosystems; providing integrated access to the many smart home devices and services around the world. About the Role As the Practice Lead for Development, you will be accountable for establishing and cultivating the practice and defining a compelling vision and strategy in alignment with the broader goals and objectives of the Ecosystem and Fisher & Paykel. In this pivotal role, collaboration with stakeholders and teams across the organisation will be key. Your focus will be on comprehending their needs and priorities and ensuring the delivery of sustainable value. You'll utilise innovation processes such as Design Thinking, Lean and Agile, showcasing digital ways of working to drive efficiency and transformation. Leading and mentoring a team of skilled professionals, you will champion continuous learning and professional growth. You will define roles and responsibilities within the team for effective delivery and establish the optimal use of methodologies, tools and processes, incorporating best practices and focusing on a culture of continuous improvement. Positioned as an influential figure, staying ahead of industry advancements and implementing best practices to enhance the practice's outcomes will be crucial. You will actively cultivate a collaborative and innovative cross-functional culture to ensure operational excellence, but also to evolve the practice, ensuring it remains responsive to the dynamic demands of the market. About You We are seeking a Practice Lead with proven experience delivering solution outcomes in the enterprise space as well as a passion for innovation. To excel in this role, you should possess: 7+ years' proven experience with a track record of leadership in similar roles. Proven experience delivering solution outcomes in the enterprise space. Experience with frameworks such as React Native and Flutter to build cross-platform applications. Experience with server-side logic using programming languages. Ability to create and integrate RESTful or GraphQL APIs to facilitate communication between apps and servers. Familiarity with Structured and Object-Oriented Software Development Methodologies including Requirements Analysis, Object Oriented Analysis, Process and Data Modeling, Logical and Physical system design. Familiarity with software and Infrastructure Change Management, Release Management, and Source Code Configuration Control including knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes. Experience in issues associated with cross-platform integration. Experience with various digital platforms, standards and best practices. Prior experience developing and/or architecting cloud hosted, responsive interfaces. Knowledge of on-prem, cloud and hybrid platforms and integration options. Proven user centric capabilities, optimising app flows and interactions to enhance the overall user experience. A track record of successfully implementing within a global organisation would be an advantage. Desirable: Ability to read, write and speak in Mandarin. Understanding of network and device security. Knowledge of sensors, big data, machine learning algorithms and AI platforms. Understanding of IoT architecture and principles and experience working with front-end and back-end systems, as well as custom-built firmware and hardware. Understanding of IoT protocols.
