Ko tau na i tenei turanga - What you'll bring to the role:
Guide Fire and Emergency's work with Maori (tangata whenua) in your region.
Develop culturally appropriate fire safety strategies for Maori communities.
Foster and manage strong relationships with iwi, hapu, whanau, and other Maori stakeholders.
You are a proven leader with:
Deep expertise in tikanga Maori and cultural protocols.
Experience working collaboratively with Maori communities.
Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
Fluency in te reo Maori (or actively seeking fluency).

Lead a team dedicated to building stronger relationships with Maori.
The salary range for this role is $134,190 to $149,100 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
