Location: Hamilton City Employment Type: Permanent Applications Close: 04 August 2024 Provide Strategic direction and ove r sight for the Renewals and Compliance P ortfolio of work What does a day in this job look like ? This role is critical to converting Councils' L ong T erm P lan objectives into suitable projects and programmes of work inside each Portfolio. You will lead a team of programme specialists to deliver the changes that most effectively enables Council to achieve its strategic outcomes. Skills and experience we are seeking : Bachelor's degree in management or engineering. 10+ Years experience at a senior level with emphasis on strategy and corporate planning. 15+ years ' experience Project/ Programme / Portfolio management experience in large public or private sector organisations. 5+ years of leadership experience leading technical experts. Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or similar qualifications . Proven strategic capability , sense-making and thought leadership backed by political acumen and commercial knowledge . Proven strong influencing and relationship skills . Ability to maintain high performance and quality delivery in a fast-paced , complex , and ambiguous environment . Successful experience building high performing , highly engaged teams and motivating them to perform at their best and most productive . A strong track record of budget accountability and responsibility for significant portfolios or work programmes including planning , forecasting , resource management, budgeting , and prioritisation . Outstanding communication , presentation , stakeholder influencing & engagement skills that builds confidence and reinforces a positive organisational reputation . What's in it for me?
