We have 2 opportunities available for Portfolio Managers to join our Business segment.
As a Portfolio Manager, you will assist in leading and maintaining our portfolios to ensure profit targets and returns are within accepted parameters.
You will lead the design and maintenance of the portfolios whilst also supporting the development of customer valued products/solutions to support centres of excellence across Business and Rural offerings.
The roles sit in a community of practice that includes Business Property, Commercial Motor, Construction and Engineering, and Rural portfolios as well as co-insured Facilities.
You may be required to assist with or lead any one of these portfolios so experience in managing portfolios of this nature, but particularly Rural or Facilities is important.
What you'll do: Accountable for the profit contribution of the Business segment and associated product lines, solutions, and value propositions.
Drive value for our customers and business partners and generate quality growth through identification of market opportunity across the Business segment.
Oversee and drive the identification of new opportunities to enhance the customer experience, simplify business process and create value for our customers, business partners and shareholders within the Business segment.
Work with the Underwriting community of practice to leverage scale to deliver enhanced customer and performance experiences.
Monitor the performance of the portfolios including identifying key performance indicators and areas for further analysis.
Create clear lines of accountability for profitability and performance to ensure market commitments are met.
What you'll bring: Experience in NZ/Global insurance or financial services market ideally within a Commercial Insurance or Rural Insurance context.
Demonstrable experience working with Insurance systems and processes.
Strong portfolio management skills with the ability to identify market opportunities.
Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and influence the direction of the portfolio.
Ability to interpret and understand analytical data.
Experience in leading project related delivery, requirements, and analysis.
Strong leadership and change management skills, consultation, influencing and negotiation capability.
The ability to provide sound business advice and provide mentoring/coaching to others.
