We're the experts behind the scenes, who ensure safe and reliable access and help industries, businesses and local communities to thrive.Our products, services and solutions are used across many end markets, including dairy, agriculture, viticulture, electricity, steel, food and beverage, pulp and paper, mining, building and construction, industrial and water treatment (just to name a few).We are supported by over 1,300 people globally and our operations span across four continents and nine countries, with headquarters in Melbourne, Australia.About your roleDue to business growth, we are currently seeking a Portfolio Leader – Industrial Chemicals to join our broader Trading team in a newly created position.Based at our office in Newmarket - Auckland, this role will lead, coach and develop the Industrial team to ensure profitability of the Industrial portfolio, key principal satisfaction and deliver positive business outcomes.This is a unique opportunity within the IXOM business that in return will give you a real career advancement opportunity to join a growing and stable business with an exciting pipeline of work ahead of us.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop an innovative, vibrant, collaborative and supportive team culture.Lead a team of direct reports across Product Management roles to achieve end market strategy.Coach and develop team members with a focus on driving product and sale excellence.Accountability for Product Portfolio strategy development and execution of strategic plan.Drive active collaboration across IXOM to support end strategies.Ensure all customer, supplier and product related Health, Safety and Environment requirements are met within IXOM guidelines.Manage principal relationships and identifying and developing opportunities to bring on new principals, supporting the Product Management team.Contribute to development of financial budgets and own the delivery of results to achieve and exceed these.Ensure robust processes are in place for supplier pricing, terms, product inventory levels and monitoring of supply and demand market dynamics.Drive Principal and Supplier management excellence.Product Stewardship and supply chain management with experience across the product life cycle and creation of product stewardship plans with the team.Who are we looking for?Tertiary qualified in Science, Engineering or a related discipline will be highly advantageous.You will be a self-starter with strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly across New Zealand and Australia.Strong commercial skills and exposure with the ability to hunt and identify new principals and bring in new opportunities for the NZ Industrial team.Experience leading and managing a team of people.Previous product management experience (5+ years) and account management experience ideally within the chemical industry.Experience in industrial market segments including building & construction, coatings, polymers, adhesives, horticulture, etc.Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing a growth strategy.Benefits at IXOMWe take looking after our people seriously.
