Reporting to the GM Forestry Services, you will have sound knowledge and experience of phytosanitary requirements relating to the export of logs, timber, and horticultural products to ensure that compliance is maintained across all C3 branches nationwide for all aspects of the certification.
As the successful applicant, you will need to be adept at liaising with all levels of the business, from senior management to entry-level staff, to translate technical regulatory requirements and ensure correct procedures are followed. In this role, you will be required to engage with, provide advice, and develop all branches in Quality Control (training, advice, and systems), ensuring the ongoing development and review of all Standard Operating Procedures relating to phytosanitary requirements.
Other functions of this position include carrying out defined internal audits on systems, processes, and contractors, and working with external stakeholders including Independent Verification Authorities (IVAs).
To be considered for and succeed in this position you will require:
Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
Proven understanding of MPI requirements and phytosanitary compliance.
Ideally, knowledge of forestry/port operations is preferred but not essential.
Strong computer skills with literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong attention to detail with technical documentation generation.
Ability to write and review manuals and audit systems against manuals.
Experience in conducting internal audits and participating in external audits.
Ability to travel nationally to ensure branches are compliant and provide training.
Working knowledge of current H&S legislation.
