All candidates must take the FrontLine National test OR the National Police Officer Selection Test (POST) and have a valid passing ORPAT (all tests must have been completed within one year of your application date). Candidates must also complete a City of Dallas application, found at . Applicants are responsible for contacting NTN and arranging for their own testing. If you have completed the ORPAT and/or POST with another department, you may submit your results on department letterhead with your application. Salary Information: $5,551.93-7,085.83/mo Benefits Information: An attractive benefits package includes medical, dental (choice of 2 plans), and vision insurance with a VEBA account, life insurance, long-term disability, and AD&D coverage. The City pays 95% of the insurance premium for the employee and dependents and monthly contributes to the employee's VEBA. This is a PERS position with a 6% employee share paid by the City. We also offer a 457 deferred compensation plan (employee funded). Employees receive paid vacation and sick leave as well as paid time off in lieu of holidays. Once an entry-level employee completes probation, they are eligible for qualification-based incentive pay; lateral employees are eligible for incentives immediately.
