Qualified candidates are required to take the FrontLine National test and have a valid passing ORPAT.
Additionally, candidates must complete a City of Warrenton Law Enforcement application and Pre-Employment Questionnaire, which can be found on the city's website.

WPD is responsible for policing services in Warrenton, Hammond, and Fort Stevens, covering a total area of 19.4 square miles.
The department includes a Chief, 2 Sergeants, a Detective, 8 Patrol Officers, a Reserve Police Officer Program, 2 Clerks, and 1 Part-Time Clerk.
The WPD is community-oriented, participating in numerous programs and events throughout the year.
City/County/Area Information: Warrenton is located in the northwest corner of Oregon in Clatsop County, near the mouth of the Columbia River.
The city is known for its proximity to historic sites like Fort Stevens Military Base and Fort Clatsop, the winter residence of the Lewis & Clark expedition.

Convictions: No felony convictions and no pattern of repeat misdemeanor convictions related to violence, substance abuse, or domestic violence.
