Reuters is looking for an experienced Podcast Producer to join the team responsible for Reuters World News, our fast-growing daily show, and help shape our expansion of audio programming.
In this position, you will mine the vast reporting resources at one of the largest newsgathering organizations to deliver must-listen shows about what's happening in the world right now.
You should be an avid news consumer with excellent audio editing skills and a clear understanding of news and current affairs podcasting.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that is bringing a new dimension to how Reuters covers the biggest stories of the day.
While the role is posted primarily for New Zealand, for the right candidate we would consider other locations that complement our existing spread of covered time zones.
About the Role
As our Podcast Producer, you will:

Record, edit and deliver audio content as directed by the team leader, working closely with Reuters reporters around the world and external expert contributors.
Generate ideas for buzzy and informative segments.
Write, sub and fact-check scripts.
Voice program inserts, and occasionally capture audio in the field.
Collaborate with other parts of the newsroom to help promote our podcasts.
Ensure your work is accurate, timely and impartial.

About You
You're a fit for Podcast Producer if you have:

Experience of working on podcasts with a news or current affairs focus.
Strong audio editing skills, using software like Descript, Adobe Audition or Pro Tools.
A passion for telling news and personal stories.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and edit down episodes on deadline.
A track record of being a team player in a news production environment.
Strong time management skills to balance the needs of the daily show with longer-form storytelling.
Excellent written and spoken English.
