Service/Department: Paediatric Ward Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term, Upto 50 Hours Per Fortnight (0.625 FTE), 1 Position Available About the role: Are you a Registered Early Childhood Educator looking for a meaningful career change?
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Teacher to join our team of 4 Play Specialists on the Children's Ward.
In this role, you will communicate confidently with children, their whanau, and the broader medical team, providing essential support to our young patients.
You will also train to become a Registered Play Specialist, assisting in assessing the needs of patients and preparing them for medical procedures.
About our team: Our Play Specialist team is small, supportive, and values-driven.
We are passionate about ensuring children and their families receive the best care possible during their hospital stay.
Our team culture is built on kindness, respect, creativity, and a deep passion for supporting others.
We work closely with the medical staff to make sure each child's emotional and developmental needs are met.
