We have forecasted high demand continuing and have a number of large and complex developments in progress.
To continue to meet the challenge of growth and high demand, we have an opportunity to fill an existing vacant role and are seeking a Resource Consents Planner to join our team.
This is an exciting role for planners with some industry experience in the field but we are open to those who are just starting their planning career.
We seek a planner who thrives in a growing and changing environment, enjoys problem solving and seizes opportunities.
Reporting to the Resource Consents Manager, this role is accountable for resource consenting for a range of land uses and subdivision, providing planning advice to the public and ongoing monitoring of the environmental outcomes.
The main tasks of the role include, but are not limited to: Completing planning checks on Building Consents, Completing planning checks on Liquor Licence applications, Landuse and subdivision Resource Consent processing, Provision of duty planning advice to the public and applicants, Undertaking consent monitoring assessments.
The ideal candidate will possess: A tertiary qualification related to resource management or land use planning Enthusiasm to gain experience and competency in Resource Management legislative processes A general knowledge of other Local Government legislation and consent processes Awareness of the Local Government political environment.
Full NZ driver's licence Building positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
