This is a 2-year fixed-term contract that will co-ordinate a strategic approach to play across the district.
Responsibilities:Increasing opportunities and access for whanau and their tamariki to play in a wide variety of ways. Connection to place, past and present, enables optimal experiences.Ensuring opportunities are equitable and inclusive, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Rotorua and relationships with hapori Maori, kaitiaki, hapu and/or iwi.Influencing the systems that impact access and the ability for tamariki, rangatahi, and their whanau to enjoy playful moments regularly in their local communities and/or at home.Systematically embedding a play philosophy across council planning and decision-making.If this is the opportunity you have been looking for, then check out the Position Description and send us your application now.
