Senior - Intermediate Lawyer - Full or Part-time Baywide Community Law provides free legal services to people with diverse needs. We have offices in Tauranga and Whakatane and run clinics across the wider Bay of Plenty.
Baywide is now looking for a Senior-Intermediate Lawyer to join its close-knit Whakatane team. This role will see you working on an interesting and varied caseload, so you will need to thrive in an environment where no two days are the same! Alongside this, you will have a real desire to help and be committed to providing high-quality legal advice to our community.
We welcome applications from lawyers interested in working either part-time or full-time, as we genuinely encourage our team to have a work/life balance.

What will you bring with you?
2-5 years PQE and a strong interest in social justice
Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with our culturally diverse community
Experience in family, employment and consumer law preferred
Knowledge of tikanga and Te Reo Maori would be an advantage
Demonstrated skills as a team player and effective collaborator
Proven client management skills and the ability to work confidently on your own
Strong computer skills and capacity to use an online document management system
A current NZLS practising certificate and the right to work in NZ
