OneStaff New Plymouth is seeking a skilled Planning Coordinator for a permanent position with one of our leading clients. Based in New Plymouth, this role offers a unique opportunity to work with teams across New Zealand and Australia, coordinating the movement of staff to support critical projects. Reporting directly to the NZ General Manager, you'll collaborate closely with workforce planning teams and play a vital part in the efficient allocation of skilled resources to meet project demands.Key Responsibilities:Crew Coordination: Serve as the key point of contact for workforce planning, overseeing rosters, flights, and accommodation, ensuring all team members are site-ready.Project & Resource Support: Work alongside project managers to ensure the right crew with the right skills are deployed, promoting fair work opportunities across projects.Strategic Planning: Assist with forecasting and planning for peak periods, liaise with training personnel to identify and address skill requirements, and manage workforce resources effectively.Onboarding & Compliance: Handle onboarding essentials, including medicals, inductions, and site compliance, while ensuring a smooth offboarding process.Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the organization professionally when dealing with clients, suppliers, travel management providers, and training and occupational health partners.To be successful for this role you will ideally possess the following:Proven experience in workforce planning and scheduling, with strong skills in resource forecasting.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new planning systems quickly.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a track record of liaising effectively with multiple stakeholders.Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work within delegated authority.Our client offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your career within a dynamic team environment.
